McMURRY/TMG Awarded Amtrak On-Train Advertising Business
Creates Amtrak Media Network Integrated Buy
New York City—McMURRY/TMG has been chosen by Amtrak (the National Railroad Passenger Corp.) to be the exclusive marketer for posters, transparencies and LED advertising on Amtrak’s trains and in its Acela Club Lounges in the Northeast Corridor. The new Amtrak contract includes the exclusive sales and marketing of in-station and on-train real estate properties featured on the Acela Express, Northeast Regional, Keystone and Empire lines, as well as posters at Acela Club Lounges inside Washington Union Station, New York Penn Station, Philadelphia 30th Street Station and Boston South Station.
With the awarding of this contract, McMURRY/TMG has created the Amtrak Media Network, which offers an integrated print, digital and out-of-home marketing opportunity for brands that desire to reach the fast-growing Amtrak ridership, which set a record with 31.6 million passengers in fiscal year 2013.
McMURRY/TMG will be coupling these new promotional opportunities with existing business from Amtrak to form a truly 360-degree integrated media play within the coveted “Corridor of Power.” McMURRY/TMG publishes Arrive, the on-board magazine featured in seat pockets in all Northeast Corridor Amtrak and Acela Express trains. It publishes a digital version of the magazine, which is available through iTunes and Android networks, as well as two special digital issues a year distributed exclusively to Amtrak Guest Reward members direct to their inboxes via their monthly e-statements.
Together, this integrated marketing opportunity allows brands a comprehensive one-stop shop to reach members of this highly sought-after demographic throughout their Amtrak journey.
